One Clinic. Twice the Care. — The Healing Haven SLC health and wellness expansion announcement

The Healing Haven is No Longer Just a Mental Health Clinic. Here's What's Changing — and Why.

For a long time, I told myself a clean, simple story about what The Healing Haven does: we do therapy. That's it. Someone comes in, we talk, they leave a little steadier than when they walked in. Contained, straightforward, exactly what a mental health clinic is supposed to be.

That story stopped being fully true a while ago. I just finally caught up to it.

What I Kept Noticing

Session after session, the conversation would drift somewhere I couldn't fully follow with therapy alone. Someone exhausted in a way that sleep wasn't fixing. Someone doing real emotional work but still stuck, and starting to wonder if something in their body was part of the picture. Someone asking, half-joking, "should I actually be taking a vitamin, or is that a scam?"

I didn't have great answers. Not because the questions weren't worth asking — because they were outside what a single therapist, four days a week, could responsibly cover on top of everything else.

Physical health and mental health were never actually separate. I just used to treat them like they were, because that's how the clinic was built. Once I stopped pretending otherwise, expanding stopped feeling optional. It felt like the natural next step.

What We've Already Built — In Two Months

This isn't a plan on a whiteboard. Some of it is already live.

We hired our first Patient Care Coordinator. Leah joined the team in July, and if you've reached out to the practice recently, she's likely who you talked to. Read the full story— over 200 people applied for that role, because getting the front door right mattered enough to do it properly.

We're welcoming our first MSW student into field placement. Jade joins us this fall through a five-year affiliation with Cleveland State University's Master of Social Work program. Read the Full Story. This is the first of what I hope becomes an ongoing pipeline of well-trained clinicians who care the way this practice tries to.

We launched a free wellness platform. Through a partnership with Fullscript, current clients now have access to professional-grade, third-party-tested supplements at a discount, plus lab panels you can order without a separate appointment. It's opt-in, it's free to set up, and it exists because "which one do I actually buy" deserved a real answer instead of a shrug.

None of this replaces therapy. All of it sits alongside it.

What's Next

We're actively hiring for new therapy providers, because more of you deserve appointment times that actually work for your life, not just mine.

And we're doing something new for this practice: searching for a nurse practitioner to join The Healing Haven. Not just anyone with the right license — someone who shares the affirming, judgment-free values this practice was built on, and who wants to practice medicine the way we try to practice therapy: like the person in front of you is the whole point.

If that's you, or you know someone it might be, I'd genuinely love an introduction.

Why This Matters for You

If you're already a client here, nothing about your therapy changes. Nothing about this is required, and nothing about it ever will be. That rule isn't changing along with everything else.

What does change is what's available to you if you want it. A wellness platform that's already live. Lab panels you can order on your own time. Eventually, a nurse practitioner in the building who understands why you sought out an affirming practice in the first place, so you're not starting that explanation over from scratch with someone new.

Physical health and mental health were always connected. We're just finally building a practice that treats them that way.

Curious Where to Start?

If you're a current client, your wellness platform account is already available — ask about it in your next session, or explore it at wellness.helendelovely.com.

If you're not yet a client and this whole approach resonates with you, the easiest first step is still a free 15-minute consult. No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation about whether this is the right fit.

And if you're a nurse practitioner (or you know one) who wants to practice somewhere that takes affirming care seriously, reach out. I'd love to talk.

Two months ago, this was a mental health clinic with one therapist trying to be everything to everyone. It still doesn't do everything. But it's finally starting to look like the whole-person practice I always meant to build.

Thank you for being part of it.
